Robert S. Neuman exhibition and acquisition news

Robert SNeuman and the Sunne Savage Gallery are pleased to announce the opening of Robert SNeuman's Definition of Place: 1950-2012, a traveling retrospective that opens at the Prichard Art Gallery at the University of Idaho in Moscow. The exhibition will be on display from August 22nd through October 12th, 2013 and is traveling from The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho.

In conjunction with the traveling exhibition, we have created a small edition poster celebrating the show-perfect for Robert SNeuman collectors and art lovers. The poster, depicting the painting Lame Deer Pictograph, measures 30 x 20 inches and costs $35.00 (price includes shipping and handling).

In addition to the retrospective, we are pleased to announce that Heather James Fine Art in Jackson, Wyoming will be representing Neuman's work in the West.

Pictured left are White Garden, 1968 (top), Untitled, 1959 (bottom) and Lame Deer Bear Paw Mountain, 1991-2006 (right). These are three of eight mid-sized paintings at the Gallery. The others can be seen in person or online.

Finally, we would like to share the news that three of Neuman's works on paper are now in the permanent collection of the Bates College Museum of Art. Pedazos Del Mundo #10, 1962, Ship to Paradise #4, 1980 and Ship to Paradise/Paradise Found, 2012 (pictured right) were acquired following the exhibition Robert S.Neuman's Ship to Paradise that was hosted by Bates College Museum of Art from January to March 2013.

Additional works from these series are available and can be seen at www.robertsneuman.com.
